Couple weeks ago if you follow me on instragram (@juniagoncalves), you saw that i posted some pictures from the fashions shows that I attended at WMFW (Wold master Card Fashion Week) A.K.A Toronto Fashion Week, I was volunteering through college at this event for the entire week and i have to say how much I loved being part of this project.
Ok, my main job was to set up the runway room, flip this between every show, set up the gift bags and etc, but also I had an opportunity to work on backstage as a model dresser as well and I have to say I want to do this again next season.
One of the biggest reasons that I decide to apply to work on Fashion week (besides the experience and internship hours fro college of course), was to get to know better the Canadian Brands, and to be honest I didn’t know anything about that before. Almost all the brands were Canadian based designers (excluding Target that opened some stores in the Country recently).
Here is the Line up for the week and also my feedback.
Like I said, I didn’t know most of the brands that showcased on the event, but some were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
Ok guys, Canada has 3 to 4 months of summer so of course that the strong collections are the winter one, they really know how to do a stylish real winter clothes, but lets Talk about S/S.
Brands That I Loved: Pink Tartan, Joe Fresh, Mackage, Rachel Sin,Rudsak, Stephan Caras and Mikael D.
Jackets, a lot of party dresses, OMG to die for , but because the”contract that i sign before the event start I couldn’t take pictures during my shift but thanks all the amazing photographers there, social media and google I access a lot of pictures from the event (I don’t like just to use google but in this case was my only option), maybe next season i’ll attend as a guest as well but anyways was an amazing experience, I watched almost all the shows everyday and I really want to do this again as a volunteer.
Guys, this post is just an overview from my experience on this event, if you want to see more post about it please leave your comment bellow on the comment box and i’ll be happy to talk more about for sure.
