Rebecca Minkoff at NYFW Spring 2016

September 16, 2015

Hi Guys!

Is Fashion Week season starting in New York and we can say that a lot of surprises are popping up. This year for me was the young and fresh  San Diego born designer Rebecca Minkoff.

She been out since 2005 but I just got to Know Rebecca’s brand after I moved to Toronto (Canadians are obsess with her tiny colourful purses), and I fall for the accessories, but what I didn’t know that she actually have a clothing line, silly I know, but believe me College can take you out of the orbit. Anyways, I saw her show this years and I have to say, is one of my favourites so far.

What I liked about is really ready to wear, most of the looks you can transform from the runway to real life, witch is usually not very true among high- end brands. Her Boho inspiration is present in some of the garments and accessories such as fringes all over, lace and dresses that have accent on the wast.

She works with a lot of solid colours a minimum prints, one garment or another have geometrical prints and some kind of floral, witch I love, is feminine and chick

The beauty of the show is also Boho inspired, very 60’s to 70’s the full bangs and long natural hair ware the chosen look along with a very basic natural make up, no lipstick,  sutil blush and eyeliner.

Accessories, the most wanted fringe bags and the stunning gladiator hills that so far is one of the best that I ever saw, and to be honest I was never a fan of this trend, but with hr theme and fluid skirts works so well.

How about you guys, did you guys like the gladiator fever?
