I always love Christmas but been away from my family made me forget bit about the holiday spirit last year. This year i decide do different, bring back my love for the holiday enjoy all the festive around the city.
One of the most famous ones is the Toronto Christmas Market that happen right in downtown at Distillery District. Last Friday was my first year actually attending the event that started in November 18, and goes until December 22. Is a month of holiday spirit to make any heat melt.
The market goes from Thursday to Sunday, and the fist day the admission is free and $6,00 dollars on weekends and this money goes for next year event commission and charity.
At the Market is possible to find of course a lot of Christmas related itens to buy such as ornaments, stocking stuffers, bands sing holiday songs and the Santa House but the best part is the food. Is end of Fall for us so is pretty cold so nothing better than warm your heart with some great hot chocolate, fondue and soups.
Along the market, theres a little houses from outside vendors bring the best things yummy and different things to entertain us at amazing place. Last bu not least is the amazing Christmas tree right at the centre of the Distillery and the Countdown to Christmas sign.
I'll come back for sure next year maybe earlier to enjoy more the place and eat more too. The only disadvantage is, because is only at Holidays is always pack after 5:00 pm and of course the prices are a little bit higher compared with the rest of the year, but hey, is Holiday soon is going be -20 outside, so let's enjoy this beautiful place.
